Mike Meadows

Executive in Residence (Moderator)

Mike Meadows currently serves as an Executive in Residence at TechPoint in Indianapolis, focused on strengthening the tech eco-system in the region and attracting tech companies to re-locate or meet their expansion needs in the area. Meadows also serves as an independent executive IT consultant to other organizations. Prior to these roles, Mike was Vice President and CTO of Eli Lilly and Company. At Lilly, he led the Global Information Services organization responsible for business technology direction and delivering IT infrastructure and enterprise application services to over 50,000 employees and collaborators globally. Mike has overseen enterprise-wide strategic sourcing to consolidate and transform infrastructure and IT delivery processes, has contributed to the redesign of the IT organization from a federated to centralized model, and modernized the IT ecosystem in support of digital opportunities and cloud-based computing paradigms. Mike has also led improvement initiatives in other areas of global responsibility including project management, vendor management, and quality processes for IT.

Prior to the CTO position, Mike led the final stages of Lilly’s ERP program, at the time considered to be one of industry’s largest single-instance SAP implementations. The initiative included defining and installing global common business processes in finance, human resources, manufacturing, distribution, and project tracking. With more than 35 years of IT experience, Mike has also held positions of CIO for Lilly’s animal health business, CIO for Lilly Diabetes, Program Manager, Financial Analyst, Systems Analyst, and Network Analyst. He is experienced in pharmaceutical and medical device businesses. Mike was awarded the inaugural CTO of the year for public companies by the Indianapolis Business Journal and he serves on the board of directors for Providence Cristo Rey High School. He is an emeritus Board member of TechPoint, Indiana’s initiative for driving the tech sector. He is married with three sons, a daughter-in-law, and three grand-daughters. Mike holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Hanover College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
