After receiving his PhD in Biomedical Materials Science, James Rimell went on to leverage and expand his IT skills at the University of Birmingham to transform the IT infrastructure & systems of the Dental School.  Since taking a position at Eli Lilly he further fuses his Life Sciences background and deep IT knowledge to help speed and innovate novel science.  He currently is the Technical Lead for the Research Data program within Lilly Research IT where he guides the technical direction of the way data and information are pipelined, persisted and accessed to accelerate drug discovery research.
